Ash,

Did the Dr say what it means if the babies kidneys are an abnormal size? I think I might do some research and see what I can find to help ease your mind.

I hope everything goes ok at your next appointment. I would also be curious to know what the effect of having larger than normal kidneys is. Keep us posted!!

Prayers being said...I'm sure the Dr is being overly cautious. Anyhow, I agree on doing some research, it wouldnt hurt. ((((((HUGS))))))

Hi ladies! Well... here's my update for the week.

I went to a routine doctor's visit today and they started off by weighing me (of course!). And it looks like I've lost a few pounds since I was there 2 weeks ago. Doc wasn't so happy... seens though I've only gained 10 pounds in 8 weeks. I didn't think it was bad since I've heard 1 pound a week is a good rate, but he wasn't too thrilled. "Need to eat more calories" was his strict orders... he wants more calories? I'll give him more calories! Very Happy
Then they checked my iron level and it came back low... so now I'm on some iron tablets twice a day. Sad
And to top the whole visit off, doc measured my uterus at 36 cm!! I am only 33 weeks (well... 32 in their book since they changed it at my 20 week u/s last time... me, I ignored it!). So he scheduled me for an u/s tomorrow to measure the baby. He said it could be a lot of fluid or it could be a BIG baby! Either way, for being almost 8 months pregnant, I am not very big. Sooo... I'm excited that I get to see my little one on the big screen again but at the same time I'm nervous I'm going to be delivering a 15 pound baby!! Ahhhh!! Surprised
So anyway, how are you ladies doing? You all must be getting for those babies to come... haven't seen too many of you on lately.
I hope all is well. The countdown is on... Very Happy

I had an appt. today too. The NStest came back great. The baby was soo active during the test. The Dr checked my cerv. I'm NOT dilated at all. I was very bummed out by this. W/all the pressure I've been having, I thought for sure I'd be at least a 2.
He wants to see me again on Friday, to check the fluid levels again, he says the babys just shy of 7lbs, looking forward to appt. on friday.
He told me to get busy!! Walking, staying active and lots of SEX to help thin out my cervix. Dh will be happy to hear that one... Wink

Kris, I would've been thrilled w/a weight loss as well, but I'm overweight. I hope you can gain back what you've lost. I cant wait to hear about your sonogram. Fingers crossed the baby's not TOO big.

I hope your ALL doing well.

Dreadheadmommie, is your baby still breech? I was doing some back reading & I had forgotten that you had said he was, I was wondering if he has turned yet.

Nothing exciting going on here. Unfortunatly, I had a bad migrane last night, but thankfully it went away, mostly. Appoinment thursday & I have some questions for the midwife, so we'll see how it is going.
